What is Cosmetic Dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry can completely transform the appearance of your smile.
If you’ve ever felt self-conscious about your teeth or felt the need to smile with your mouth closed, our dentists can help.
We can help you explore your options for cosmetic dentistry so you can start smiling with confidence.
Cosmetic dentistry is able to repair:
- Tooth discoloration
- Chipped teeth
- Cracked teeth
- Slight gaps between teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Irregularly-shaped teeth
- Small cavities
Here are a few of the most common cosmetic dentistry options that we may recommend.
ZOOM®! Teeth Whitening
With ZOOM®! teeth whitening, our dentists can whiten your teeth by several shades in just one appointment. Our professional-grade whitening treatments are more effective than over-the-counter whitening products and are also better for your teeth.
Teeth Whitening at Home
If you’re interested in teeth whitening at home, ask our dentists to create a custom tray. During your first appointment with us, we’ll take impressions of your teeth to create a custom whitening tray that fits your teeth. Our dentists may slightly adjust the fit of your tray so it sits comfortably in your mouth. After that, you’ll be able to whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home!
Veneers are wafer-thin teeth covers made of porcelain. Our dentists may recommendif you have front teeth with slight chips, cracks, or stains.
The entire veneers procedure takes place in several stages. First, we’ll remove a small amount of enamel from the fronts of your receiving teeth. Next, we’ll take dental impressions so your veneers can be made to perfectly fit your teeth.
Our dentists will make sure that your porcelain veneers are the right shape, fit, and color before bonding them to the fronts of your teeth. After they’ve been attached, you should care for your veneers as though they were your natural teeth. Veneers resist staining better than your natural teeth, but you should still brush and floss them regularly to keep them pristine.
Wish you could straighten teeth without braces? Ask our Invisalign dentists if you’re a candidate for clear aligner treatment. Like the name suggests, Invisalign are nearly invisible aligners that move your teeth little by little into a beautifully straight smile.
In order forto work, you must wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. Many of our patients appreciate that Invisalign can help them discreetly straighten teeth without their friends, coworkers, and family knowing.
You can remove your aligners to eat or for a few hours on a special occasion. It’s important to brush your teeth before putting your aligners back in so you don’t end up trapping bacteria against your teeth.
For severe misalignment issues, we might recommend metal braces as the best method to straighten your teeth. Metal braces can correct your bite and make it easier to maintain your oral hygiene, as plaque and bacteria tend to hide in hard-to-reach places when your teeth are crooked.
