Crowns from Robinson Dental
At Robinson Dental, we plan and place your dental crown in one appointment.
That way, you can restore your tooth and get back to your life as soon as possible.
What is a Dental Crown?
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that restores a
Dental crowns strengthen fragile teeth, restoring their full function and natural appearance.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
First, we’ll numb your tooth and surrounding tissue so you don’t feel any pain during the procedure.
Once you’re numb and comfortable, we’ll file down the receiving tooth so there’s enough space for the crown to fit on top.
Next, your dentist will take digital impressions of your teeth and design your new crown right in front of your eyes. This includes using a shade guide to select the best color match for your new crown.
Once your dentist has selected a shade and is satisfied with how your dental crown looks, they’ll send the design to the milling machine in our office. From there, the machine will sculpt your new crown from a block of porcelain that’s perfectly color-matched to your teeth.
Once your dental crown is ready, your dentist will bond it onto your tooth.
Your dentist will ensure that your dental crown fits snugly over your tooth so it looks and feels natural.
